Pay-as-you-go is for users who want usage-based billing instead of fixed plan limits. Monthly invoices are generated from recorded usage.

Add Card

Adding a card runs a small verification charge so Paystack can confirm the payment method works.

  • USD accounts: $1
  • KES accounts: KSh 130

The card authorization can later be used for paid invoices and recurring charges.

What Happens After Payment

  1. The user chooses a plan.
  2. CredVault opens Paystack checkout for paid plans.
  3. Paystack confirms the payment.
  4. CredVault stores the selected plan and payment authorization.
  5. The billing account becomes active.
  6. Usage and invoices continue from the active billing account.

Billing Controls

Users can view:

  • current plan
  • current usage
  • estimated monthly cost
  • invoice history
  • payment methods
  • spending limits
  • default card

Pay-as-you-go users can set spending limits. When a spending limit is reached, billable operations can be blocked until the user upgrades or increases the limit.

Invoices

Invoices show usage-based line items such as storage, requests, bandwidth, compute, backup storage, seats, and AI inference. Flat-rate plans use the fixed plan price, while Pay-as-you-go invoices are calculated from usage.
